Youth leadership development as a unique characteristic of WOW. Listed below are the WOW leadership positions for Summer 2020. All positions provide a great opportunity for young individuals to grow and strengthen the skills necessary to direct and lead others in a positive and supporting environment.
Staff hiring timeline (Pillar Leaders and Pillar Assistants)
- Application goes “live” on February 1
- February 22: deadline for applications
- Week of March 2: Board interviews candidates (by conference call if needed)
- Week of March 9: Staff positions offered/confirmed
Pillar Leader is a paid position for high school graduates who primarily provide leadership on a program level, sharing their gifts to plan and oversee faith formation experiences, leadership development opportunities, mission site experiences, or relationship building activities.
Pillar Assistant is a paid position for rising high school seniors who are motivated, take initiative and have a desire to serve and make a difference in the world.
Summer Program Director
The Summer Program Director (SPD) reports to the Board of Directors. This position has two main responsibilities: 1) supports summer staff and 2) oversees day-to-day programming for Win Our World (WOW) Urban Ministry according to its mission statement and vision.
